In 2014, the Kenya Semester Program celebrates its 40th year. Ever since the first trip in January 1972 evolved into the semester program by 1974, St. Lawrence University has developed deep roots in East Africa. From the 2000+ alumni of the program to our countless Kenyan partners, staff and scholarship winners it’s hard to quantify the impact of the KSP on the lives of so many. We are looking forward to the chance to bring alumni, faculty and friends of the program together to reflect on the past and help us kick off the next 40 years of the Kenya Program.
In conjunction with the 40th anniversary of the Kenya Semester Program, we are pleased to launch the Engaging Africa Initiative which seeks to broaden the relationship between St. Lawrence and Africa, and renew our long term commitment with Kenya. If you'd like to support this initiative with a gift, please visit our Giving Options, click on the best donation plan for you, fill out the information and select "Engaging Africa" from the designation drop down. If you would like to learn more about giving options e.g., pledging over multiple years or setting up an individual endowed fund, please contact Tom Pynchon, University Advancement, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 315-229-5583.
